Putting of the toothbrush bristles under a high powered microscope will definitely give nightmares as it will make a person view something unusual! They are nothing other than billions of bacteria crawling in a busy manner to and fro the toothbrush bristles.

Even, it can be easily observed that those microbes consuming proteins that came from the mouth hence staying clinging to the bristles even after being rinsed by water. Dental hygienist has stated the fact that rinsing of the toothbrush after the brushing gets over, assists in the removal of some ferociously hungry bacteria.
Recent research and study have revealed that bacterial infestations develop on toothbrushes within a few days of usage. Until and unless toothbrush is sterilized before being packaged, chances are there that it will comprise of bacteria as well.

 Bacteria – Tenacious Little Germs

Bacteria are considered to be among the tenacious little germs that head towards the concealed areas between toothbrush bristles. They are highly adaptable and are present in each and every type of extreme environment. Even there are some people who prefer putting their toothbrushes into the microwave for a few seconds in order to kill germs.
But unfortunately, this procedure hardly works. Otherwise, one may end up with a toothbrush which is bendable similar to a gummy doll and covered with high proportion of germs. Hence, dental hygienist highly believe the fact that feeding a cold and starving a fever will  free one from bacteria attacked toothbrushes.

Problems in Case of Headed Cold

In case of a headed cold, there are chances that the mouth remains teeming with bacteria gleefully roaming around along with gobbling mucus as well as dead skin cells. Brushing of teeth in case of suffering from a sinus condition will make the brush like a magnet for those ravenous bacteria. Hence it is considered to use the old toothbrush when a person is sick.
As soon as the he gets well, he must take the initiative t throw it away and fetch a new one. Otherwise, there exists possibility of re-infecting the teeth with some other harmful bacteria and attacking microbes.
